Strawberry Fields Forever
Not so long ago I saw the movie The Killing of John Lennon.Although many people were left disgusted that anybody should dedicate an entire movie to Mark Chapman I found the film quite interesting (as well as massively upsetting).
Whilst in New York we went past the Dakota (where Yoko Ono still lives) and saw the spot where John Lennon was shot dead. It was quite a sad moment for me but ruined by the run (and the woman encouraging them over a loud speaker) taking place in Central Park at the time.
We went in to Central Park and checked out Strawberry Fields which is a memorial to John Lennon but also a place for people to go and reflect on peace which John found so important and campaigned so tirelessly for.
The Dakota is such a beautiful building on the Upper West side and was originally built when nothing else existed that far up town.
